Nuculear facility

In the nuclear industry, or any other industry where hazardous material is processed, the facilities eventually become contaminated and must be removed. Cartwright Engineers provides technical and logistical support to owners and contractors charged with that responsibility. Such support includes:
  • Structural analysis and design
  • Earth retaining systems
  • Temporary support and falsework design
  • Environmental control of dust and runoff
  • Rigging and lifting analysis

Civil

Civil engineering services include site design, public utilities design, drainage and grading design as well as design for civil works structures such as water storage tanks, retaining walls, bridges, and parking structures.

Materials

Materials engineering includes construction quality control/assurance testing, IBC required Special Inspections, design of Portland and bituminous cement mixes, and material selection for unique construction applications.

Geotechnical

Geotechnical engineering services include sub-surface soil investigations, determination of soil properties and characteristics, and deep foundation design. Geotechnical engineering studies are used to predict soil bearing capacities for foundations, estimate probable settlement, pavement design properties, and suitability of in-situ soils for construction purposes.

Structural

Structural engineering services include design and analysis for all framing systems and materials. Lateral force resistance occupies a significant portion of the engineering design effort. Cartwright Engineers provides lateral design using the most current methodologies combined with sound principles of engineering mechanics.

Environmental

Environmental engineering services include investigation and reports for site screening impact statements, NEPA, and ESA phases I, II, and III.
